The ETS Educator Program is a continuation of the Senior Instructor course. Approval of the program results in certification as an ETS Educator. An ETS Educator is part of an ETS faculty and can plan, perform and run ETS Senior instructor course and examine new ETS Senior instructors.

Requirements for becoming an ETS Educator: certificate as ETS Senior instructor and experience in using the ETS training material as an instructor.

Starting a new ETS faculty

New ETS faculties are trained in an ETS Educator program by the ETS Competence center. The program is held by two staff from the ETS Competence center in native country.

The ETS Educator program consists of two parts.

Part 1 – concists of preparation, translation and customisation of the ETS Senior instructor course to local requirements. Staff from the ETS Competence center is available on Zoom/phone if needed.

One day before part 2, the Educator candidates prepare for conducting the Senior instructor course together with the staff from the ETS Competence center.

Part 2 – the Educator candidates that have completed part 1 are conducting a Senior instructor course for three days coached by the faculty from the ETS Competence centre.

Approval of the course results in a certification as an ETS Educator. Within an agreement, the faculty is approved to start up Senior instructor courses according to the framework given for the Senior instructor courses.

Each ETS Educator faculty consists of a minimum of 4 Educators. One of them is pointed out as ETS faculty Medical Director.

More ETS Educators to an existing faculty

Existing ETS faculties with certified ETS Educators and who have an agreement with the ETS Competence center can by themselves train more Educators to their faculty.
